Persephone is part of a series I began in late 2010 exploring the significance of hair in culture and mythology while practicing different ways of using andamento to create flow and contour.
I live in rural Washington, on five acres nestled in a low mountain range called the Black Hills, with a very supportive spouse, whip-smart daughter, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, and goats. I spend my days working on mosaic and in our expansive garden, growing and preserving our food, enjoying visits from black eagles and black-tailed deer, and avoiding society at large.
