I like to incorporate bright colors and intricate designs in my artwork. This piece evolved from an 8" x 10" mosaic with a single monarch butterfly that I donated to benefit the Artwork for Mirebalais Hospital, Haiti Fund. I was experimenting with my kiln at the time and produced lots of fused butterflies, all of which are now aflutter in Butterfly Garden. The garden includes two caterpillars and twelve pair of butterflies, including monarchs, peacocks, leopard lacewings, zebra longwings, and orange tips.
